# Accessing AI-ready Data Products distributed by Data Providers

When a data provider distributes a data product to you using Vendia, you will receive a secure invitation to access the dataset. Here is what to expect and how to get started.

## Steps to Access an AI-ready Data Product

### 1. Accept Your Invitation

- You will receive an email invitation from the data provider.
- Follow the link in the email to accept the invitation. If you do not have a Vendia account, you will be prompted to create one.

### 2. Set Up Your Access

- After creating your account and logging in, you will be taken to a workflow that provides instructions on how to set up your query engine to access the shared data product.
- Follow the guided steps to configure your preferred analytical platform or tool.
- Data products are distributed in open formats (Apache Iceberg, Delta Share, CSV), allowing you to access them from your preferred analytical or BI tools (for example, Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).

## Security and Governance

- Your access is governed by data policies set by the provider.
- Sensitive data may be masked or filtered according to compliance requirements.
- All access and actions are logged for auditability.
